Italian and Northern Renaissance Assessment

Welcome     Hello, and welcome back to my blog. Today's blog post is centered around all things Renaissance, including my favorite piece of visual art from an artist emerged in the Northern Renaissance, Hieronymus Bosch. Learning about the Italian and Northern Renaissance the last two weeks of class has been wildly fascinating. The art birthed from this time period proves to be influential, powerful, and timeless to this day. There's a lot to learn and take in from this era, the leading artists, and their artwork so let's get into it.  Hieronymus Bosch and The Garden of Earthly Delights     Hieronymus Bosch was a Dutch/Netherlandish painter of the Northern Renaissance that specialized in strikingly and surreal iconography. Throughout his career, he explored religious themes and used his art to portray the sins and follies of humankind. One of his most famous visual arts that I have found to love is The   Garden of Earthly Delights. This painting of his stands as one of the

Water I am forever drawn to water. Oceans, lakes, streams, waterfalls, rain... the list could go on. Water can be peaceful, quaint, and quiet. It could also be loud, roaring, and consuming. Either way, water is a force to be reckoned with. It can save your life, as well as bring an abrupt end to it. An immaculate ecosystem lives under the water that I love so much. Sea mammals and thousands of creatures dance and swim under our boats, kayaks, and canoes. I mentioned in my previous blog post that I am most interested in art that involves water and sea creatures. I have a couple of personal favorite artists, but my most treasured one is a woman named Brianna Reagen.  Brianna Reagen Art Brianna Reagen lives in the same small town as I do, Fairbanks, Alaska. She and her family are frequent customers at the coffee hut I work at. She is an absolutely lovely person, with a beautiful family, and a breathtakingly talented mind for her artwork. She specializes in drawings and painting of animals

Hey guys, welcome to my work-in-progress blog 🌸 The main theme I am going for is floral waters, which is my idea of my two favorite things about nature: flowers and moving water. I am 22 years old, I was born and raised in the cold state of Alaska, and I thoroughly enjoy coffee, nature, dogs, and my boyfriend. I’ve been slinging coffee for about 8 years now, and it’s still one of my favorite things to do. I love a good white chocolate americano with oat milk paired with a big breakfast burrito. Breakfast is my favorite meal of the day since I wake up thinking about food RIGHT away. Preparing meals is an art form for me, because I take such pride and joy in it. I love cooking and baking, and I strive to become better at the two with some good ol’ trial and error. So far, I make AMAZING homemade banana bread and chicken parmesan pasta. I plan on living in Alaska until I retire at least. Alaska has much to offer my boyfriend and I. After college, I am planning on working as a certified
